Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of NutBit (the "App"), a gamified social savings habit tracker provided by NutBit ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of the Service

NutBit is a savings tracking and habit-gamification app. It helps you log spending impulses you choose to skip, record those amounts toward personal goals, build streaks, and share progress with friends.

NutBit is not a bank and is not a financial institution. NutBit does not hold, move, transfer, or insure real-world currency on your behalf. The amounts you see in the App are records you enter yourself to help you build a habit — they are not deposits, balances, or funds held by us. To actually save the money you track, you must move it yourself into your own bank or savings account outside of NutBit.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use NutBit. NutBit is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. By using the App, you represent that you are 18 or older and that any account information you provide is accurate.

3. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal

NutBit may offer paid subscription features. Subscriptions are sold and billed entirely through Apple's App Store In-App Purchase system. Apple, not NutBit, processes your payment.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the renewal price then in effect.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, at any time through your Apple ID account settings on your device (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), or in the App Store app.
• Refunds, where applicable, are governed by Apple's App Store refund policy and must be requested through Apple.

We may change subscription pricing from time to time. We will notify you of any price changes in accordance with Apple's requirements before they take effect.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent data, or use the App to misrepresent your finances.
• Harass, bully, or demean other users through any social or "save with friends" features.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt the App or its services.
• Impersonate another person or share account access in a way that circumvents Apple's licensing.

We may suspend or restrict access to social features for conduct that violates these community standards.

5. User Content and Data

You are responsible for the savings entries, goals, and any content you create or share within the App. You retain ownership of your data. By using social features, you acknowledge that information you choose to share (such as streak counts or goal progress) may be visible to your friends or to the members of a shared goal, according to the settings you select.

6. Disclaimers of Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the savings amounts you log will be accurate or complete. NutBit is a motivational and tracking tool only — it does not provide financial advice, and it does not hold or guarantee any real money.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NutBit and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Because the App does not hold, move, or transfer real funds, you acknowledge that any actual savings you make are your sole responsibility and occur outside the App.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App and cancel your subscription through Apple at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason upon notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends, though your data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. If you use NutBit as a consumer, this does not take away the protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country or of Hungary.
